About us: Rachel Pedley

Training:  Swindon Dance. London Studio Centre.
Rachel started ballet in 1987 training as an RAD dancer until she was 16 years old. 
In 2000 she was part of Swindon Youth Dance Company. As part of the company she trained with choreographers such as: Aletta Collins, Michelle Gankell, Jeanette Brooks. Sixth Sense Theatre Co, Jackie Guy, Emma Redding and Dansconnect Co.

In 2001 she became part of the Pineapple Performing Arts Troupe training with Maggie Patterson, Jimmy Williams, Mark Battershaw, Zoonation and many more. As part of the troupe she performed in Covent Garden, the Shaw Theatre London, for the BBC on shows such as Blue Peter and at the BMW mini launch.

In 2006 Rachel left for New York where she worked with children performing on Broadway at Stage Door Manor. Rachel taught Contemporary, Tap and Jazz and worked as assistant choreographer on ‘Fiddler on the roof’, ‘Into the woods’ and ‘The Boyfriend’.

Rachel has been teaching in and around the Vale of White Horse area since 1999, for schools such as Stage Coach, Amanda Alders Dance Academy, Sally Weichardts. Also during this period she ran her own dance school Stage Magic Performing Arts teaching at primary schools.  In 2008 Dance 8 came together and Rachel became the dance projects co-ordinator for the Vale of the White Horse District Council.

Rachel is keen to meet more dancers, to help them improve their fitness, technique and achieve their goals.
