About us: Daniel Baird

Daniel started creative contemporary classes age 6 in Oxford with Cecilia MacFarlane. By the age of 8 he was working with Rosemary Lee and her company on 'Egg Dances' which toured the UK and was made into an influential site-specific film.

Daniel took both Dance GCSE and A Levels before being accepted at the Laban Centre in London where he received a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance Theatre.

At Laban Daniel began training in Capoeira and is now a fully qualified Instructor.

Since graduating in 2002 Daniel has danced with a wide variety of dance companies throughout the UK, Germany and Italy. Some of these include: Mobius Dance, Adesola Akinleye, Red Dragon, Crossover Inter-Generational Dance Company, Angels (Germany), La.Mi.La (Italy), and most recently Foot In Hand. 

Daniel is passionate about dance and is teaching Breakin, Contemporary and Capoeira for Dance 8. He is also a key member of Streetwise which will be performing in a venue near you soon.
