About us: Becci Whitehead

Becci Whitehead began dancing at the age of 3 completing exams in RAD Ballet, IDTA Tap and IDTA Modern Jazz and a few years later street dance. She joined Theatre Express in 1998 where she performed major rolls in West Side Story, Wind In the Willows and Various other performances.

In 1999 Becci played Raphaella in the Mario Lanza story at the New Theatre, Oxford and had a dancing role in Me and My Girl also at the New Theatre. One of Becci's best achievements was to be chosen to be a young   Tori Amos in her music video 'Strange Little Girl' directed by David Slade, remake of the old Stranglers hit.

After leaving school in 2005 Becci attended college and studied Performing Arts for 3 years whilst being an assistant dance teacher with Stage Magic working in various schools and helping run holiday workshops for local children.

In 2008 she joined Dance 8 and has been teaching Parent & toddler ballet, Toddler ballet, Jazz, Street, Musical theatre and Cheerleading in Primary and Secondary Schools, Leisure Centres, Youth Clubs and Community Centres.

Recently she has qualified as a IASF Cheerleading coach and will be starting her own squad to put forward to National competitions 'Dance 8 Divas'.

Becci is enjoying the diversity and challenges of where her career is taking her and is looking forward to progressing further and obtaining more qualifications whilst providing positive and fun activities for all ages.
